Ragged Road Web Documentary Series

Macy's and its lifestyle apparel brand, American Rag, are giving five college students the opportunity of a lifetime: a cross-country trip to explore how to realize their dream of breaking into the music business.

The Ragged Road tour kicks off at the Experience Music Project in Seattle before traveling to other legendary cities that have cultivated the sounds of popular music—San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, New Orleans, Miami, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland, and New York. In each city, the group will visit with an assortment of people that includes artists, producers, promoters, DJs, writers, talent scouts, managers, and label executives who will share their thoughts and offer advice.

The series will chronicle the cast’s journey across the country through ten episodes, with two episodes released weekly, on Mondays and Wednesdays.



Ragged Road documents the once-in-a-lifetime journey of five individuals, picked to travel the country in pursuit of music industry fame and fortune. In episode 1, we meet the five cast members as they converge in New York for a Teen Vogue shoot and then head to Seattle to kick off the musical journey.
